Little Rascals Forest School
The forest school we attend is set in beautiful woodland in a small village just outside Melton. It is run by a fully qualified level three forest school leader, who has relevant outdoor first aid qualifications.
The philosophy of forest schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences. By participating in engaging, motivating, and achievable tasks and activities in a woodland environment each participant has an opportunity to develop intrinsic motivation, sound emotional and social skills.
What do we get up to?
Our forest school is enjoyed by all the children who go there, as they are gaining an understanding of the world, the natural environment and everything within it.
So Forest Schools will aim to develop:
Self Awareness
Self Regulation
Intrinsic motivation
Empathy
Good social communication skills
Independence
A positive mental attitude, self-esteem, and confidence
Funded 30 hours for 3/4 years & Funded 15 hours for 9 months + and 2 years
